Saturday, the 21st July, Attended the Snake awareness program at Ammuguda. woke up early and had a bike ride in drizzling waters. The riding was fun and enjoying. the weather was cool and informative. saw the muncipal people working hard in rain, People in low height places safeguarding their households from rain, TV and News reporters covering the disastrous affects on low hight, rain affected areas...and reached the tirumalgerry X roads. met th waiting GHAC member, had a breakfast there an d left for ammuguda. the organaiser , Srikanth was nice and informative. the venue of the program was shifted from ammuguda to one fo the "Friends of Snakes" Volunteers hose. the house was just next to defence college of management, very beautiful, full of greenary and reflecting the taste of the familiy, GREAT. The volunteers educated us about snakes, shown them to us, made us to touch and feeel..(really). it was exciting for the first time i touched a snake. told some famous stories based on snakes, miths, realities, how snake catchers make snakes to drink milk on nagpanchami etc etc.. Over all the day was fun and productive.
The Sunday, i decided to attend my first horse riding at the Hyderabad polo and riding club at gandipet. i woke up at 4 am and left for Meetingpoint, a backery at Mehdipatnam. met sunil, a B>Tech student from Aurora and Naveen. we parked our bikes there and proceeded to Gandipet in naveens car. He was too friendly and cooperative. we reached and met other 10 members at he cub. due to rains, the organaiserrs have not come, but naveen took initiative and taken good care of all. The first riding experiance was good. we are made to sit on horse and kept it walkin for about half andn hour. it was fun and exciting. i started to join one or two sessions, but now want to continue on all possible weekends.
Planning to attend some trekking sessions in near future...
